Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat against South Africa in their ICC Women’s World T20 match on Wednesday.

Laura Wolvaardt leads an unchanged Proteas side in her 100th T20I, becoming just the sixth South African woman to reach the milestone. Her calm presence will be central as South Africa look to rebound from their loss to Australia and maintain their perfect Women’s T20 World Cup record against Pakistan — three wins from three meetings (2012, 2014, 2020).

Pakistan made two changes, with Iram Javed and Tuba Hassan coming in for Saira Jabeen and Tasmia Rubab. They will look to post a competitive total through their spin‑anchored approach, while South Africa’s attack, led by Shabnim Ismail, Marizanne Kapp and Ayabonga Khaka, will aim to exploit any early movement before the surface slows.

SOUTH AFRICA WOMEN: Laura Wolvaardt (C), Sune Luus, Annerie Dercksen, Nadine de Klerk, Marizanne Kapp, Chloe Tryon, Kayla Reyneke, Sinalo Jafta (WK), Shabnim Ismail, Ayabonga Khaka, Nonkululeko Mlaba.

PAKISTAN: Gull Feroza, Muneeba Ali (WK), Ayesha Zafar, Iram Javed, Natalia Pervaiz, Aliya Riaz, Fatima Sana (C), Rameen Shamim, Tuba Hassan, Nashra Sundhu, Sadia Iqbal.
