Rubin Hermann leads NW Dragons to victory
Captain Rubin Hermann’s unbeaten half century led the North West Dragons to a comprehensive seven-wicket victory against the Dafabet Warriors in the opening fixture of the CSA T20 Challenge at Supersport Park in Centurion on Friday afternoon.
Replying to the Warriors modest total of 128-6 Hermann finished on 55 not out from just 31 balls with five fours and three sixes to lead his team to 131-3 and victory with 4.3 overs to spare after opener Ludwich Schuld had given the run-chase a flying start with 33 from 22 balls (2x4, 2x6).

The Warriors innings spluttered from the first ball when Muhammad Manack was dismissed by by the outstanding Wihan Lubbe (3-0-9-3) for a duck and dangerman Matthew de Villiers (10) was bowled by Daryn Dupavillon (1-23) in the fourth over.

Only a gritty 30 from 29 balls by JP King and an even less glamorous 38* from 43 deliveries by Patrick Kruger enabled the Eastern Capers to post a semi-presentable total.
But the Dragons were in complete control on a pitch which offered some assistance to the bowlers but was far from troublesome and a bonus-point victory was duly completed with a minimum of fuss.
The fixture is the first of a double-header which features hosts the Momentum Multiply Titans against the Yes Play Western Province Cobras at 6:00pm.
