Fresh from their shock victory over reigning champions Nigeria, the Scorchers produced another assured display to claim a second successive win and edge closer to the quarterfinals.

The victory gives Malawi six points from two matches following their memorable win over the reigning champions, with a final Group C meeting against Zambia to come next Wednesday.

Egypt, meanwhile, will face the reigning champions needing a positive result to keep their qualification hopes alive.
