Orlando Pirates aim to widen their lead at the top of the Betway Premiership as Kaizer Chiefs look to avoid extending an unwanted poor run, as the two giants head into Matchday 21 fixtures.

With Mamelodi Sundowns sidelined by CAF Champions League commitments, the Buccaneers can open a three-point cushion at the summit by overcoming stubborn Siwelele FC at Orlando Stadium on Saturday.

Pirates' arch-rivals Chiefs, meanwhile, are desperate to prevent a fifth straight defeat across all competitions - which would be a first in the PSL era - when they host in-form Durban City at FNB Stadium on Sunday.

The weekend kicks off on Friday as Stellenbosch FC target a top-eight push with a win over TS Galaxy at Danie Craven Stadium, while the Rockets seek to prevent a potential sixth successive league loss.

On Saturday, Sekhukhune United can solidify third place by defeating unpredictable Polokwane City in the Limpopo Derby at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium.
