The Springbok Sevens team set up a pool decider with South Sea magicians Fiji as they swept past their opening two opponents in the Singapore Sevens on Saturday.

The Blitzboks, who won the Cape Town tournament and beat Fiji en route to the title, will have their third straight game in as many tournaments against the Fijians, with one win apiece, as they look to claim pool honours and end off day one in style.

The Blitzboks beat upstarts Spain 21-14 in their opening match and followed it up with a powerhouse second half to down Great Britain 33-12 in their second match to set up the showdown.

Against Spain it was tries from Donavan Don, Zander Reynders and Shilton van Wyk that won the day while Don also scored the first try against Great Britain.

But the Blitzboks fell behind 12-5 after two quick tries for Great Britain before a beauty of a tap free kick play saw Ricardo Duartee thread the perfect grubber through for Tristan Leyds to go over untouched.

Back in front the Blitzboks never looked back as Van Wyk, Ryan Oosthuizen and Sebastian Jobb all scored second half tries to power their team home.

The Blitzboks now face Fiji in the pool decider at 1:46pm  (CAT, GMT+2).
