SOUTHERN GUARDS GC: LIV Golf 2026 season wrap

The 2026 LIV Golf season ended on Sunday with a familiar foursome atop the team leaderboard, and a bright young star declaring his future greatness as the individual champion of LIV Golf Indianapolis.

Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII won its second consecutive LIV Golf Team Championship and the 12th team trophy of any kind, an impressive run of success in its three seasons as the league’s first expansion team.

The all-South African LIV Golf team, Southern Guards GC, led by Louis Oosthuizen, entered 2026 under a new identity after rebranding from Stinger GC to Southern Guards GC.

The South African team finished among the stronger teams on the LIV circuit, highlighted by a runner-up finish at LIV Golf South Africa, their home event at Steyn City.
