EPISODE 6 PREVIEW: MVPs battle blindfold and fast forward in gruelling test

You might need a forklift to help you pick up your jaw from what is about to hit your screen in this week’s episode! The SuperSport MVP Talent Search Show has always been about twists and turns but Sunday’s episode will have you uttering about five yhos per second.

The MVPs start the show with a relaxed day out, away from the worries of competing to becoming the next SuperSport superstar. Well, only until the message comes in. Another contestant exits the show due to personal reasons.

SuperSport’s Hope Mbhele and Tshego Koke lead the SuperSport MVP Talent Search Show, as hosts, that aims to find South Africa’s next generation of sports broadcasters.

MTHETHWA SHARES WEALTH OF EXPERIENCE

This week the contenders will have to impress veteran commentator and broadcaster, Baba Mthethwa.

Baba has been the voice of SeSotho football commentary for almost three decades. He brings passion and experience to the masterclass as the contestants hope to impress and improve their skills. He emphasises the importance of teamwork and being determined to getting the work right instead of being obsessed with being front of the camera.

The challenge this week will require the contestants to be creative, be able to think on their feet and still be able to have a deep knowledge of sport, as usual. Can you identify the sport and action blindfolded? Can you narrate the sport event shown in fast forward? Baba picks his 10 and what follows next is the real test of live television as they head to the SuperSport Arena.

For a change, the top 10 take on their studio challenge live in front of the judges and oh boy, the nerves keep coming to haunt them. Someone will be in front of the judges for the first time since the competition began.

THE JUDGES

Resident judges Neil Andrews and Motshidisi Mohono return to their seats. They are joined by actress Gaosi Raditholo who is currently on Mzansi Magic’s Genesis.

The top 10 have to impress the judges while the eight players who didn’t make it watch. They have to try handle all the curve balls thrown their way to survive this challenge. This is what Neil, Carol Tshabalala, Motshidisi and OG Molefe go through during every live production. Can your favourite MVP handle the heat?

After the acid test in the SuperSport Arena, some MVPs will leave the competition. The first elimination round of the competition begins. Can you guess who gets eliminated from the show?
