CHAMPIONSHIP PICTURE

The Malaysian GP could prove decisive in the title fight after the dramatic Australian sprint.

Marc Marquez arrives at Sepang leading the championship with 365 points, just 10 points ahead of Jorge Martin, who crashed out at Phillip Island and has reportedly been ruled out of the Australian Grand Prix due to injury.

This weekend could be one of the most important of the season, with only four rounds remaining after Malaysia.

ABOUT THE CIRCUIT

The PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit is one of MotoGP's most demanding venues. The track measures 5.54 km, features 15 corners (10 right and 5 left) and includes a 920-metre main straight, creating excellent overtaking opportunities.

RIDERS TO WATCH

Marc Marquez (Ducati Lenovo Team) - Fresh from victory in the Australian Sprint, Marquez has regained the championship lead and will look to strengthen his advantage.

Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia Racing) - The Italian remains third in the championship and could capitalise if his injured teammate Jorge Martin is unable to compete.

Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) - Acosta continues to impress and remains mathematically in title contention.

Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) - The South African heads to Sepang after finishing sixth in the Australian Sprint and will target another strong points haul. Binder currently sits 13th in the standings with 108 points.
