Bulls hit by Papier blow

The Vodacom Bulls have been dealt a blow with the news they have lost their Springbok scrumhalf Embrose Papier to injury.
Coach Johan Ackermann confirmed that Papier had undergone ankle surgery this week to correct an injury sustained when he came onto the field against Stade Francais in the Investec Champions’ Cup last weekend.
Papier had returned from the Springbok camp with an ankle injury and missed the start of the season because of it. The game against Stade Francais was his first for the Bulls in the new season.

“Embrose sustained an ankle injury,” Ackermann said, “And as such he will be out for a few weeks, he underwent surgery.”
No further details were given, but the Bulls still have three fit scrumhalves at the moment, with Paul de Wet in good form, and Zak Burger on the bench this weekend. Keagan Johannes can also slot in at nine if necessary
