POWER-PLAY UPDATE: Seamer Akash gives LSG good start

Left-arm seamer Akash Singh, playing his first game of this season’s Tata IPL for Lucknow Super Giants, gave his team a good start by removing both Chennai Super Kings openers in the power play in their game at Lucknow on Friday.
Singh, getting good bounce, accounted for both Ruturaj Gaikwad (caught at mid-on) and Sanju Samson (flicking to deep square leg) for 16 runs in his opening three overs with Chennai restricted to 37 for two in the first six overs.

LSG, who won the toss and inserted the visitors, are playing for pride, having failed to make the playoffs, while CSK, having won four of their last five matches to move to fifth on the log, are enjoying a late run of form.
