CURRENT FORM
Sundowns will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing 2-1 loss to Al Hilal S.C. in their CAF Champions League clash at the Stade Amahoro in Kigali, Rwanda, on Friday.
The loss ended a 10-game unbeaten run in all competitions for the Brazilians, who will be anxious to start a new streak.
Masandawana sits level on points with Orlando Pirates at the top of the Betway Premiership, but could fall behind on Tuesday as Pirates play a catch-up fixture and have the chance to pull ahead.
Despite their dominance in the league, Sundowns have not won a domestic cup since lifting the Carling Knockout trophy in 2022 and will be looking to add to their extensive trophy cabinet.
In their first season in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, Gomora sits 12th on the log having registered three wins, 10 draws and four losses. The club has registered 19 points from 17 games and sits four points above the relegation zone.
Founded in 2020, this will be the club’s first appearance in the Nedbank Cup, and they will face a baptism of fire against the nation’s top flight champions.

WHAT WAS SAID
With nothing to lose, Gomora United head coach Ashley Makhanya stated his side will approach the clash with no fear.
“We go with no fear. I mean, what's the worst that can happen?” said Makhanya.
“So we will put our plan in motion and whatever happens will happen, but you're not going to go
there with fear of what will happen. It's a wonderful experience.”
Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso told the media to expect a strong line-up from his side, with a long way to go in the competition. The Portuguese tactician also revealed that his side have faced Gomora in a friendly match and know they need to take their opponent seriously.
“A long way is always done with the first step and the first step for us is Gomorrah, a team we
had the opportunity to play recently in a friendly match and we know that it's an opponent we
have to respect, respect in terms of making a serious approach,” said Cardoso.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
This will be the first official meeting between the two sides.
